In this study, the effect of a power converter SEPIC type converter, which converts the DC voltage generated from photovoltaic panels, which is one of the environmental energy production sources, to another DC voltage level, on the output voltage stability under five different types of controllers was investigated. The simulation of the system was performed by connecting PI, Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy-Tuned PI, 2-DOF PI and Fractional PID controllers to the proposed SEPIC converter, respectively. System efficiency and stability were compared under the influence of these five different types of controllers. System performance in stable and transient conditions was carried out in MATLAB-SIMULINK environment to emphasize the basis of studies.

Plants have importance on human nutrition. They have seconder metabolites and they have antioxidant activity by their volatile or phenolic compounds. These compounds also have inhibition effects on medically important enzymes. Rheum ribes L. (Isgin) is wild edible plant and consumed as food since ancient times. For this purpose, methanol extracts of different parts of Rheum ribes L. were prepared and chemical characterization of the extracts were performed. Total phenolic, total flavonoid contents and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) were examined. The inhibitory effects of Rheum ribes L. extracts on urease and α-amylase enzymes were determined. Total phenolic content of the root and leaf extracts were found 107.75 ± 0.11 and 120.08 ± 0.08 µg GAE / mg, respectively. Urease and α-amylase enzymes IC50 values for the leaf part were determined as 3.08 ± 0.02 and 2.47 ± 0.01 mg/mL, respectively. Both leaf and roots rich in syringic acid, n-eicosane, n-tetracosane, linoleic acid and oleic acid. The results show that Rheum ribes L. could be used as supplement for the prevention of ulcer and Diabetus mellitus.

People with dementia have an increased risk of accidents and particular of falls compared to other people of the same age group. In a great majority, they are living in apartments with a carer, which could be their family. Thus, residents should be designed and accommodated so as do not pose risks of falling. The family should be also supported and guided in how the accidents will be avoided. The purpose of this article is to raise public awareness that many home accidents can be predicted and avoided with fewer amendments. Also, it is proposed to be created a non-profit organization with engineering members for giving advice and proposing practical based measures in residents to protect people with dementia from accidental falls.

Objectives: The study aims to predict the efficacy of dexamethasone alone and dexamethasone plus ondansetron in a pediatric population age range from 3 to 10 years old. This research is specifically designed for measuring the outcomes of PONV incidents among the pediatric population and confirm the success ratio of these two anti-emetogenic drugs.\nDuration and Place: The study was conducted in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, from January to December 2019.\nStudy type: Double-blinded randomized controlled trial\nMethodology: 132 patients in total, were selected for the study. Patients on physical status stage I and II described by the American Society of Anesthesia (ASA) were selected for this research. We administer a 30mg dose of dipyrone NSAID as a placebo. Initially, 0.1 mg dose of ondansetron associated with dexamethasone was used later on dose was increased up to 4 mg. Whereas 0.15 mg dexamethasone was used alone.\nResults: Postoperative vomiting was observed in 16 total cases, out of which the majority belonged to placebo and dexamethasone alone group (14.3% and 14% respectively). Little (6.8%) cases of postoperative vomiting were found among the ondansetron group. We did not find any significant statistical differences in our study. All the p values were greater than 0.05.\nConclusion: There is a need for routine administration of anti-emetogenic drugs among the high emetogenic risk surgeries in order to avoid PONV. Whereas in low emetogenic risk surgeries regular administration of prophylactic treatment is not much necessary.

Objectives: This research was conducted to generate ICU admissions and discharge protocol for lady reading hospital- MTI hospital Peshawar. The purpose of conducting this research was to make an admission and discharge protocol for our hospital and measures the results of critically ill patients. This protocol helps us in predicting the efficacy of protocol by calculating outcomes.\nStudy type: A controlled trial study\nDuration and place: Critical care department of lady reading hospital Peshawar from January 2019 to December 2019\nMethodology: All the demographic information e.g., age, the sex was observed during the study. Clinical outcomes in terms of signs, laboratory test results, in-stay hospital mortality, duration of mechanical ventilation, ICU mortality, ICU stay duration, initial cardiopulmonary resuscitation were extracted from the electronic medical records of patients. With the help of ICU physicians, we observed Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scores. Data related to time of stay in the emergency department was collected from emergency department records. \nResults: After the implementation of protocols, we observed mortality rate, and length of ICU stay and found a significant statistical difference in mortality and admission ratio of patients after implementation of ICU protocol.\nConclusion: Admission and discharge protocols help in reducing the time of hospital stay. There is a need for an admission protocol to secure more lives in fewer resources.\nKeywords:
